Sodastream Reviews
The sodastream system for making your own sparkling water and soda at home has been around for more years than I can remember. They were all the rage in the late 70′s and early eighties but seemed to me to fall out of fashion for a while. But reading some Sodastream reviews recently, boy are they back with a vengance.
Now the major benefits being pointed out by the company are the eco friendly aspects of not having to buy and recycle drinks bottles or cans all the time. This claims the manufacturer is infinitely better for you and the environment, in that you are reusing the same containers over and over, so there is no ongoing co2 impact due to manufacturing, shipping and recycling of disposable containers.
Oh, and it also makes great soda.
You can pick up the sodastream system at stores like bj’s bloomingdales, macy’s, sears although the range may be limited & you’ll have to lug it back from the store. The full range can be purchased online

Sodastream Reviews.
There are hundreds of reviews on amazon averaging out at four an a half stars, which is pretty good testimony to the popularity of this product. Victoria of Seattle originally bought the sodastream system to cut down on throwing away so many plastic bottles, which is a reason echoed in a lot of the reviews. She really liked the fact that you can control the water source and can filter it if thats what you like to do. She also liked the “fiziness” control, so you can opt for a light subtle fizz or you can crank it up and blow your socks off.
Cindy from Georgia bought a sodastream for her husband who is a huge soda fan. Ease of use was a big feature of Cindy’s review, saying that it was easy to load & carbonate the 1 liter bottles and exchange the gas cylinder. That’s also a great point. The Sodastream requires no batteries or power to run it, it’s all based on gas based carbonation, which she observes allows her to control the fizz & sweetness levels of the fresh soda she makes.
V Lapato’a review features in the amazon Sodastream reviews and she bought the sodastream for a couple of really good reasons. Number one, hauling heavy packs of soda on the long walk to her unit was a major chore and also her husband’s high blood pressure meant that lower sodium content in the sodastream diet soda syrups were an excellent choice.
Like everything in life, there are potential negatives and with the sodastream system, the biggest concern is the replacement gas cylinder which will be required every 60 liters or so. The good news is that this is easily managed. The replacement cylinders can be ordered online and home deilvered. If building security is an issue, then you can alway swing by a Williams & Sonoma, one of many stores that carry sodastream refills.
